Could It be no big deal ?

.The uterus was anteverted measuring 10.0x 4.6 x 5.9 cm. The uterine contour is smooth. Double wall endometrial thickness is 5.7 mm. The left ovary is enlarged measuring 12.1 x 11.2 x 9.3 cm. A complex left ovary cyst is seen with septation and possible hypoechoic nodule. The cyst mass measures 8.8 x 9.7 x 8.5 cm. No free fluid is seen within the pelvis. The right ovary was unable to be visualized. The appendix is unable to be visualized.

Complex left ovarian cystic mass. This would be favored to represent a cystadenoma. Gynecologic consultation continues to be advised

I'm worrying myself sick thinking the worst. I have had back surgery in 2005 so I blamed most my symptoms on my back and bad periods and gallstones.  I just don't feel good at all.

Nausea/vomiting
Mild-Severe abdominal pain worst week before and week of period
Mild-Severe cramping in lower back, lower abdominal. Sometimes making walking impossible, at times walk bent over – usually worst week before and week of period
Either have loose BM or constipation
Heartburn
Upper right abdominal
Bloated
Unable to fully empty bladder
Legs ache
Hip pains dull aching – sharp pain
Weak/fatigue

Yes, your cyst definitely causes those symptoms.  Remember that over 95% of all cysts are benign.  There is some good information on cysts on the health pages attached to this page (top right).  It is possible that MedHelp will move your posting to the Ovarian Cyst forum but that is a good thing as all of us there have had a lot of experience with cysts whereas not everyone with Ovarian Cancer has.  We do recommend you have your surgery done by a gyn/onc not because you have cancer but because they are the best at this type of surgery and if there is any possibility (and again, not likely) of cancer it ensures that all is handled appropriately.  I had surgery to remove my cysts about 9 weeks ago and feel wonderful now.  Do ask your doctor for something to help you with your pain and anxiety if you need it.  Please keep us posted on how you are doing.

I would call my gyn and bring the report.  I don't want to scare you but I think you should also get a referral to a gyn/onc.  I would do this sooner than later.  I'm no expert on cysts or masses....and I know that having a cyst can cause alot of your symptoms..but I just wouldn't risk it.  Follow up and be forceful.  The pain you are describing is not normal..as a matter of fact..pain is never normal!!!  Good luck~~~Joanne
