IHi, thank you so much for replying, it means alot.
I will make the call as soon as i can, im just in the middle of my finals at univerisity so i'm trying not to think about it till there over.
Thanks again, and i will definately keep you posted.
Hi,
First of all calm down..The chances of your having a malignancy are very small.. not to say impossible, but very small.
But.. ..you should have been going to the Dr. on a regular basis just for checkups, etc. Then you probably wouldn't be so frightened.
It's possible you do have a cyst.. and they are VERY common .. Right at the top of this page, there is a link called "Health Pages" .. Check that out and it will explain all the different kinds of Ovarian cysts. Most of the time Ovarian cysts will just disappear on their own. But.. you need a Dr. to see what's really going on in there. They may give you a transvaginal ultrasound which is not painful.. a little uncomfy but if you've been having pap smears, not much worse. .
Now, Monday, call a good Gynecologist, explain that you need an exam ( you should have one every year anyway) and take it from there.
In the meantime, don't worry.. truly don't worry. and then let us know what the Dr. says and we'll help you all we can. And.. until your appointment, try not to think about it too much.. Do something fun..
Take care,
Sandy
I understand the fear of going. But think of the peice of mind. Do this for yourself, it's important. You will be glad you did. Keep us posted. Remember there are many shoulders here. They will listen. They have helped me. Dont be afraid.
Nancy
You need to make the trip ASAP. 95% of cysts are benign but even benign cysts can cause problems. Please see your doctor and arrange for a transvaginal ultrasound and keep us posted on your progress.
All the best,
Trudie
