Ovarian cyst, symptoms worsen.

Hi, this is my first time here and I'm hoping to get your thoughts and advice. I am 50 and post menopausal. Recently having five days of bleeding, I went to my GP who referred me to a gyno. Internal examination revealed a mass to the right behind my uterus. I had transvaginal ultrasound and the report states I have a 3 cm cyst on right ovary. I am due to see my gyno in two weeks but today I have been having pain in the right side of my pelvic area and have also been feeling dizzy and light headed at times. I seem to be having bowel movement almost every time I go to the toilet to empty my bladder. Are these things related to the cyst? I am a little worried as to what is going on, and don't know if this is normal to  have, or not?

Thx

Yes, like Trudie said, those are cyst symptoms. If it would make you feel better, try calling your doctor to inform him/her of your symptoms and they can tell you if they want to see you sooner. A ruptured cyst can also cause pain or it might just be twisting. If you have any concerns, or you get excruciating pain, call your doctor or go to the ER to make sure nothing serious is going on with the cyst. Always better to be safe.
