6 months is too long to wait on complex cysts, especially that size. At the most one cycle and then check again. You need another doctor.
Honestly, you need a referral to a better doctor. I'm not very impressed with your obgyn's attitude. I would ask for a referral to a gynecologist/oncologist.
I don't think an internist is going to help. Gyn issues should be handled by gyn specialists, and I think all your issues are related to the gyn problems and the surgery.
My Obgyn did my surgery. There were no cysts when he did the surgery and now he is wanting to wait 6 months.....he is the one who isn't worried about this, and is not wanting to removed them.....said I'm a person who produces alot of cysts and more than likely they will just come back....They won't take my right ovary, because it will throw me into mentopause. Am getting very frustrated, my sisters says I should just go to an internist, becuase of all the other issues I have since the surgery...(Swelling in incision area, unable to have bowel movements for 2-4 days, and small hernia). The docs are aware of all of these too and still say that nothing is wrong, I'm just getting older.
Cervical cancer and ovarian cancer are not related. Breast cancer has a stronger link to ovarian cancer.
Bilteral is a really strange result. That means "on both ovaries" but you only have one ovary left.
What type of doctor did the surgery? Gynecologist? Other? I would want a gynecologist/oncologist's opinion. Complex cysts are the most worrisome and you want to know more about these cysts. 5.5 cm is already large enough to remove, so you might as well get them all removed for piece of mind.
