what is a large mass over the ovary

Hello.
I went for a pelvic ultra sound.  I have one ovary that has a small cyst 22x21x28. the left ovary is has a large mass measuring 53x82x74...what does that mean.  could it be ovarian cancer.

Before surgery they had thought I had a 16 cm sized cyst on my right ovary.  It ended up being a cluster of cysts that had bled together and all benign.  Over 95% of all cysts are benign but it is good to get it checked out.  Did they indicate what type of cyst?

That really is a good sized cyst.(is that mm or cm?)  Have you been having other symptoms? Some ovarian cysts can grow quite large... I'm sure some of the ladies will post that have had some large ones. Having a cyst does not indicate cancer -even large ones.

What has your Dr. advised? I would imagine they would be thinking of surgical removal.. There is a link at the top right of this page "Health Pages". Try to check this out. . good information on cysts . Also, drop another line with more info.. symptoms? what did Dr. say? your age?.. I'm sure someone with experience with large cysts will answer soon..
