Dark Bruised Knees

Hi,

I'm not sure if this falls into the right category.

On Thursday 12 September I was walking from work to go home. It was around 4:30pm. It was a wet rainy afternoon. I could see that the ground was wet & slippery so I was walking as carefully and slowly as I could. I was not wearing heels as I don't like them. I was just wearing flat soled boots.

Where I was walking is a row of concrete, then tiles, then concrete etc.

I ended up slipping on the ground falling on knees & on my left shoulder.

On Saturday 14th I noticed two bruises appeared on both my knees & it was starting to hurt. Also when I get changed or even lift plates from the cupboard I can't lift my arm that high cause it hurts also.

It is now Thursday week, bruise on left knee is a lot darker & the pain is throbbing. Shoulder also.

Isn't it supposed to be better by now, or could there be something else wrong?

Thanks for your help :)

There is also the issue with your shoulder. A professional (M.D.) has to evaluate where your ligaments are strained, torn part-way, or severed. Surgery may be necessary. Same-same with the miniscus. You have to get these problems attended to immediately,

Provisional diagnosis is "rule out torn miniscus".  Not necessarily, but likely. You need a trip to the ER, a film, and professional advice on treatment. At a minimum you will have to wear an appropriate brace for a while. Blood leakage is characteristic of a torn miniscus.
