Numbness

I have this numbness in a spot on my right butt cheek. It has been there for about four months now. If I touch the area with my hand I cannot feel anything like I do when I touch my other cheek. It is just numb. When I run or jog it triggers this sharp pain in the area and I have to grab onto it and stop because the pain is so bad. I have no idea what this is or what it is from. Any suggestions??

Maybe you start with a General Physician, that can refer you to a Neurologist or Nuerosurgeon......

My sister has sciatica and actually said she doesn't have lower back pain (I was mistaken).  But it's the nerves in her behind and she does get numbness.  May want to check that out.

Sciatica?  Do you have lower back pain, too?  Nerve pain may be possible.

may be a pinched nerve.. are you overweight at all? Try stretching.
