REC for Pain Management Doctor in NJ

I want to make an appt with a Pain Managemant Doctor.  I have been going through far too many issues to even get into, but over the past 9 years, I have had a microdiscectomy, seen a chiropractor 100s of times, had wrist surgery (due to an injury), Shoulder surgery, had my shoulder injected 4 times, left elbow three times, right elbow surgery (bone spur), both hips injected, have had lower and middle back pain as well as my back going out all the time,  and have been in increasing pain the last 2 years.  I have an appt with a Rheumatologist, but I also want to get my back diagnosed for exactly what the issue is.....one of the things I believe is involved is the Scacroiliac Joints.  But we will see. Any Recs for Doctors for Pain management near exit 138 GSP?  I have an appt with someone that was recommended to me, but he is 1 1/2 hours away.  How does one go about researching the right doctor too?

You live around Iselin or Kennelworth, right? There is a good PM Doctor in Belleville, NJ about 25 minutes from you.

If you would like his information let me know. You can jump right off the GSP in Bloomfield and he is only two block from the off-ramp.

Where is exit 138??? Gsp is garden state parkway?  I have a good pain management dr in norther nj...he is very strict and careful of the patients he takes...please let me know if you'd like names..there are alot of good ones...Are you near Morristown or more south..

Where is exit 138 GSP??  You may get more information regarding Pain Mngmt. Clinlcs if the specific city is noted. I'm not familiar with abbriviations.

There is a post here in our archives that list several sited that you can look up PM doctors in your area. I will try and locate it for you as I do not remember them all.

Welcome to the Pain Management Forum. I am sorry to hear about all your pain. It can be disruptive to our lives and activities and I am sorry that this happened to you.

I can't help you with a PMP. If you have had a good recommendation and the PMP is an hour an a half away it will both worth the trip in the long run. Great physicians can be hard to locate and I would make the drive. You discover the "right doctor" by recommendations (as you have) and my happenstance.

I have severe SIJ Syndrome. It is frequently missed and under diagnosed. If you would like more information on symptoms and treatments please feel free to send me a PM.
