Hello crazytrcker and welcome to the Pain Forum.
ChronicPain is right. There are a few different options for you. First and foremost is to listen to your Doctor. I'm sure that he has discussed options with you as you have a diagnosis.
I have had many back problems. Some relating to you and my option was Surgery. There is also another web site that may help you called " Spine Universe". This may give you information needed to make your decision.
What does your Doctor recommend?
Please take care and I hope you find the answers you're looking for.

There are numerous surgeries for disc problems, as I'm in a similar boat. Let me ask you, does your toe ache? I have lower back pain/burning into my buttocks and throbbing achy pain in my big toe of my left foot.

There are things called: Fusion, Laminectomy, Foraminotomy, Artifical Disc Replacement and more. Try checking different websites, many explain the procedures.
