I too would take him to be seen.  Infection is always a possibility.  All the best.

Was it a deep puncture wound,  does it look like its a blister with fluid in it and does it hurt or look red or infected ? If its yes aI would get it looked at by the Doctor ..maybe a good idea to go anyway ...
