could painting a bathtub be hazardous to children

I just found out my landlord had painted my bathtub which my children use and now my daughter has a uti and my sons respitory problems have worsened could this be due to the paint she used..

I don't think so.  You could ask the landlord what kind of paint she used, but usually those bathtub coatings are benign once they are dry.
