Low carb diet is the best diet for women with pcos. especially if your taking Metformin.
most people think that when you eat low carb all you eat is bacon. You eat lots of veggies...acceptable fruits, meats. there is lots of stuff to eat!
I just lost 10 lbs....started diet and metformin March 1st
I have done atkins before. I gained 10 lbs back over 7 years but that's when I went off the diet!
THANKS your advice sounds good I like the sleep part thanks alot small meals sounds good too but has it been working for you ?
Hey there, I have PCOS and I found out Dec 2010...the reason you have little to no cycle is because the cysts in your ovaries form a "pearl necklace" in the ovary making it difficult to release the egg...and as far as the weight issue I was put on 1000mg of metformin plus found a tolerable diet soda...I also napped as much as I could...I figured if i wasn't awake I wasn't eating...but def smaller meals every 2-3hrs drinking sugar free juices like crystal light and diet A&W...hope it helps :)
