I can say that metformin has worked for me! When I was first diagnosed with PCOS, I was going months and months without getting my period, and it would have to be induced with provera to get it sometimes. I've been on metformin for several years, and for the first time in my life, my periods are almost regular! In fact, last month I had my shortest cycle ever - 31 days! That doesn't mean I'm ovulating though. If you are not getting your period, it is not good for you and can cause more problems if it builds up inside - that's why they used to induce mine. You should always see a doctor if you don't get it within a couple of months.
ask your doc about metformin.. I have read so much on line about metformin actually regulating women's periods when they have PCOS.. that way you don't have to take birth control pills if you are wanting to conceive...
i am 19 years old,and my problem is the same as you.i need help too.as am getting married next year isa.and ineed to rgulate my period
