Ovulation is the egg popping out of the ovary and beginning the trip down the tubes. Conception (the moment of conceiving) is when the sperm meets the egg and they merge to become an embryo. Implantation is up to ten days later, when the embryo has changed to a bundle of cells (from just one) and burrowed into the uterine wall. So in other words, even if you ovulate you don't necessarily conceive, and even if you conceive, you don't necessarily end up pregnant [if the embryo did not implant successfully in the uterus]. Generally speaking (and there are a lot of exceptions), ovulation and conception take place about two weeks after the first day of the last period, and/or two weeks before the woman would expect the next period if it came.
Yes same definition different tense. Conception meaning that u have already ovulated and egg is intact. Conceive meaning u are planning for conception(getting pregnant). Hope this helps and good luck!!!!
