Schools provide pregnancy tests?????
Seriously??
Wow, the things that change in 7 years. That was one thing my nurse didn't keep next to the asprin, band-aids and pepto.
okay thankyou guys for the help (:
my advice? the above comment is right! the dollar store tests are usually very accurate in telling! and highschool nurses office should carry them! if not, hit up a 24 hour walgreens or even walmart when youve got an extra 30 minutes to kill or if you work and get a break? run then.
thats what happened to me and your case sounds very much like what I was going through before I realized I was pregnant. That does NOT mean you are pregnant since every girl is different with their cycles but for sure take at least one test. Even if its one from the dollar store that only costs a buck? if you get a positive result, get in immediately!
and like some ladies on here told me when I was asking the same questions, prenatal vitamins cant hurt. if you suspect pregnancy at this point, get some over the counter ones and start taking them just in case you are. they do great things for you (and can help keep your little one healthy if pregnancy is the case)
I don't know about your school but my high school had pregnancy tests in the nurses office. Or you can go to the dollar store. They have very accurate tests that only cost (you guessed it!) a dollar!
Ashlen i turn 18 next month :-)
me and my bf been together since i was 15 & if we last together then yes
:-) your right i know thankyou
Hey I have 2 quick questions....
1) how long before you turn 18 (just curious, not being mean :-) )
and
2) does your boyfriend have insurance and plan to marry you soon? Because your parents insurance will almost certainly not pay for your pregnancy, but it differs by policy....
I ask this because...if you're concerned you're pregnant but can't get time to take one at home because of your schedule.....you can see the doctor and get a note clearing you from missing work or school. No excuses missy, you need to find a way to test :-).
Also Kim had some reaaally good points, might want to re-read a couple times.
yes your are RIGHT! thankyou for your help and i hope so too!
I think people are just wondering why you haven't taken a test if you are so late because they are concerned about you and your (potential) baby. You need to get proper pre-natal care if you are, in fact, pregnant and having a busy schedule is not a good excuse. Going to the closest Walgreen's, CVS, Walmart, even most gas stations to buy a HPT will not take you that long and you can even pee while you're there (in most cases) if you don't want to go home and risk having your parents find out before you're ready.
This is why it is important to use protection during sex when you are so young and not ready to have a baby. Most teenagers cannot handle the responsibility for one reason or another and babies take a lot of work and care. If you are not ready to have one (and your excuses in even taking a pregnancy test tell me you are not) then please use at least one source of protection in the future. This is not something to mess around with, it is a child's life and they deserve the best. I hope that everything turns out how you'd like it.
hello ladies
@ chapina- my last period which when i started was june 16th and today is aug 1st and i went one whole month without a period. everyone says if im stressed it can delay my period so it can be that or if i am pregnant. i know everyone is going to tell me to get a pt but its kinda hard to get access somewhere when my schedule is very busy.
@ annie- yes i did post this the 28th & no i havent tested
@joey - yes i will be taking a test soon and taking a trip to the doctor (: thankyou
@ marisol -thanks and i will keep you guys updated (:
I agree- u should take a test and see what it says and go from there . Goodluck + keep us updated
you should try taking a test before your suposed to get your next period..you can usually tell 4-5 weeks if you are pregnant..though when i was pregnant with my son my test always came up negitive...i never got morning sickness or anything i just would throw up if i ate certain foods...if a home test doesnt work i would go and take a blood test it shows up right away..good luck
When you posted this same post on the 28th, we asked if you had tested, and you said you would do so and post the results. What happened? Did you test?
Have you tried taking a pregnancy test? It could be possible that you are indeed pregnant. When are you expecting your period this month?
