recovering from cheating

How long do you guys think that it will take me to recover from having a boyf for 3 years who I was very much in love with then finding out that he had had another girlfriend the whole time who he lied to me about seeing most weekends and him instantly deciding that as she is more fun, better looking etc that he was going to choose her? Been 6 months so far and things still seem quite raw. For a variety of reasons, I have no one to tell.
Any ideas on likely timelines.

My ex cheated on me too :-( and its not a nice feeling. He cheated on me about a year and a half ago. We stayed together but it was a mistake. He drive me insane. We broke up July of last year and Im barely over it. I can honestly say that I am not over it but I am getting there! We were together 2 and a half years.

What i did was spend more time with friends and go out more, no matter how much it upset me. I also started counselling and found it to be a great help!!!!!  Talking about it and getting my feelings out there ahs helped a lot! Avoided him, and all contact! Its so so hard when you love him but its for the best.

I really think counselling would be a good idea for you!

What you need to realise is your better than him and deserve  a lot more than a cheating rat!! i bet your self confidence and self esteem are low from all this. Mine is.. And its vital to build this again! I still havent managed this but Il keep trying!!
