Hey,
Not sure wether to post this as general STI advise or Herpes hope I do this right. I have picked STI as I’m not sure what’s causing this although I think the likelies cause is herpes.
I have become to rely on this site a lot recently as I have had a recent encounter and now loads of symptoms that to me are alarming. I have read on numerous posts on here my activity was no risk. So how come the symptoms ?
My encounter was mutual masterbation with another male. We did swap hands around a fair bit (so this is how, I guess your no risk statement comes from not swapping hands and keeping solo)
5 days after I got a red mark on my penis shaft it’s the lower part of my penis shaft so low down it’s in the pubic region I do have hairs grow on my shaft. It was slightly painful and itchy but not too much.
I squeezed it and it popped white goo bleed a bit, Cleaned up and it’s now ulcerated with a moist look to it.
I have today woke up with a fever, chills, muscle aches, runny nose, headache.
I have an appointment in two days at the GUM but hoping for some quicker advise, what do do and how to manage this.
Feel really unlucky right now. I guess this is Herpes of some kind? But could it be anything else? STI related or otherwise.
A lot to unpack here. You seem to be convinced you have an STI? How come? You must realise that a common cold and a pimple is much more likely than any STI. But let’s unpack this in stages.
First hand genital contact is believed to be a no risk encounter.
Theoretical risk if you had direct genital to genital contact and even then it’s not really seen in practice. So you had an entirely safe experience.
Your red spot dosnt sound like herpes at all. Typically Herpes are water filled blisters and they cluster (more than one). The fact it popped and leaked puss argues against Herpes and points toward a zit or a hair follicular that has got clogged? Do you shave ?
The cold/flu symptoms is probably entirely that. Rest up and drink fluids. You seem to have read some things online and jump straight on the STI bandwagon. Herpes can cause flu like symptoms, but almost always with obvious blisters. Also I’m not aware of any first stage Herpes break out causing a runny nose. If this is related to your experience 5 days before it’s because you caught a cold of him. Nothing more.
So no risk event, nothing you type sounds remotely like an STI and I think I have gave you the most likely explanation for your symptoms.
You can breath now.
