No itching, no pain, no burning, no weird discharge, no pus. It's not flat and is just a small, round, flesh colored bump. It's near the opening of the vagina, which seems to have a small mass by it?
it doesn't sound like could be an STD. Have you thought of checking it with a professional? Are you in a relationship (that might be worrying you mroe to check).
Ohh at the doc's - good! If they think it's herpes (and it doesn't sound like it), make them do a type specific culture or a type specific PCR swab. Don't let them do a visual diagnosis.
The doctor looked at didn't notice anything. I'm not sure if she saw it or if she saw it and didn't think it was a problem, but she said it looked normal??
Did you point out what you thought was the bump and the mass?
How did you notice it? It may be something normal that you hadn't noticed before, but if it's something new you just noticed, or a partner noticed, or something along those lines, either go back and point it out, or give her a call.
It's not always easy, but remember that your doctor works for you. You are paying them for their time. To get the best care you can, it's important to have a good partnership with them, and part of that is to make sure you leave with all of your questions answered, and confident in the responses.
