Irritation on tip of penis

5 days ago I had sex with this girl.  We had sex twice both times protected and we had oral sex which was unprotected.  Today and a bit last night I've felt that the very tip of my penis is irritating. It comes and goes.  I've had no burning sensation what so ever when urinating as a matter of fact when I urinate it is as smooth as usual. I find myself drinking alot of water just to check if the next time it will burn when I urinate just to know, but its fine. But the irritation on the tip has me worried, I constantly check my penis it seems like every hour.  I examine the tip (opening) and carefully try to look in for any redness anywhere but still nothing.  Is this all in my head?  Is it getting irritated because I've been costantly checking it getting paranoid?  I notice no redness anywhere and all seems normal accept the slight irritation on the tip but there is no redness at all and all looks normal.  I know it is a sensative area so maybe It is just in my head or me messing with the opening all the time looking for something wrong.  My question is, I'm going on day six tommorrow, is this possibly the symptoms of an STD or something else?  How long would symptoms show if I had something, ANYTHING, related to tip irritation? a week, two weeks a month? I mean is this just normal skin irritation and I'm making it worse as I mess with it and even more so as my penis is moving around in my underwear/pants as I walk?  Mainly I just need to know if this is the start of something bigger or just in my head and normal irritation.  I did have protected intercourse with this girl HOWEVER for a brief second as she moved over me the head of my penis accidently grazed her vagina slightly but did NOT go in at all.  That is the part that has me worried.  Any comments or suggestions would help. Thanks guys.

Do you have any update on what you have been experiencing? I'm having similar issues and would be very interested to hear how you've fared since.

I have had what also looks like clear pre-semen like discharge too but it is very, very, little. I think the best way to tell, is before you go to pee, or just checking randomly, see if your penis opening appears to be almost like sealed shut looking. But I have had a very similar issue with mine too. When I go to pee it will look like my penis opening is a little sealed shut like and sometimes there will be clear sticky (pre-semen) looking substance afterward. My penis has also taken on a wrinkled look at time, especially towards the end of the night. I recently just saw another dermatologist who again assured me it was not sexually transmitted and that it had to be some form of a skin condition. He prescribed my cortisone cream and told me to apply it for roughly 3-4 weeks and then I am going back to him. I have been applying it for about a solid week and things do seem to be getting a little better. The good news for you at this point is if you are having discharge, even if it was sexually transmitted, it would likely be a bacterial one, which can be treated and be completely gone in less than a week. Again, it doesn't sound like herpes (unless it has changed since your first post, but I remember you describing it as a rash, not as open sore like blisters). Good Luck let me know what your Dr. has to say I am taking all advice at this point, lol.

Thank you Frog224, I'm planning to go to a doctor/ free med clinic on Monday.  Like you said just for piece of mind.  I've been paying attention to any discharge and other symptoms but i'm unfamiliar as to what the discharge would look like, is it white like puss from a zit or clear like pre-semen?  I've had a little what looks like pre-semen come out a little but I'm not sure if its actual discharge from an infection or semen left over from coincidental masterbation probably from an hour prior to. very little would come out (like a drop or so) but enough to make me worry. I guess my other question if you would know, is how much discharge would come out if it is an infection and how constant?  It's going on seven days tommorow since I slept with this girl and so far no burning during urination.  From what i hear and research the burning during urination is painful and noticable and so far none. (knock on wood)  Does the urination burning happen soon if infected or sometime later like two or three weeks?  In response also to your last comment, about the friction and her being tighter down there, there was a lot of friction as that night the sex lasted quite a while and pretty wild. and she was small, I'm talking 5 foot and 100 pounds.  So hopefully your right on that. Thank you so much Frog224, I look forward to your response and continuing this conversation as this website, other peoples posts and your response have given me the most peace of mind possible.  Thank you.

One last thing, the only thing that you said that is even remotely concerning about your issue is that you did have sexual intercourse a few days prior to this thing happening. However as I mentioned my penis issue was noticed the next day after masturbating. So its possible that the friction of the condom or her being tighter down there or whatever could have provoked the condition. See a doctor just to give your self the piece of mind and so just in case it is something you can be sure to get it taken care of and not pass it on.

Chances are that is actually probably not an STD. If you used protection, it would be hard to contract any of the STDs that are bacterial. STDs that can be caught, even with a condom on, are viral, like Herpes, and HPV. HPV typically doesn't have a rash involved, in fact, sometimes it has no symptoms for men, the only symptom you would have is warts. This would be if you contract HPV type 6 which is the type that produces warts, if it were any of the other kinds of HPV, it would not show symptoms. So your only real worry is Herpes. Now if what you have is a rash, splotchy, red spots type of thing that would not be typical of herpes. Herpes is blistery, ulcers that appear as sores or open wounds almost. People try to scare people into thinking Herpes can appear as a mild rash but that theory has minor validity at best. The majority, if not all of doctors, will tell you that herpes manifests itself as blisters or ulcers, and looks completely different than a red, irritated, rash on the head of the penis. Your incident where you grazed her vagina, is such a low risk situation, you would be very very unlucky if you contracted an STD from that minor contact. The reality of it is this, even if she had a STD, and you had full blown unprotected sex with her, your chances are still in your favor that you would not contract it from just one time. Although I am sure there are other people out there that will tell you they did contract it from just one sexual encounter and I am sure it happens. So it isn't EVER worth the risk, but the point of me telling you that scenario is to show how unlikely you are to have contracted a STD from grazing a vagina with your penis. Males tend to immediately jump to STD when there is a skin issue with their penis, but the reality is that the majority of times a penis has a problem, it is NOT STD related. I recently woke up one morning and had a bright red penis head as you have described, along with a blotch of redness on the underside of the foreskin as well. It was slightly itchy and had a slight hint of discomfort/ very sensitive almost tingly/burn feeling. Now I have good news and bad for you so bare with. I have seen 4 different doctors about the condition (1 md, 4 dermatologists) and they have all 100% concluded it is not a STD or sexually contagious or transmittable in any form, shape or way but at the same time, I still have the condition and am struggling to clear it up for good. I have been told it was nothing, a yeast infection, balanitis, psoriasis, Lichen planus, and a wound from intense penetration/masturbation. I have tried a lot of creams so far and none have seemed to help that much. Weird skin issues have always ran in my family, so it really isn't that surprising this happened to me, but it is very frustrating. So I am currently on a steroid cream that a doctor was pretty sure would clear it up so I will post back in a few days and let you know if I had any luck. Either way try to stay calm and not worry to much about it, because the more you stress the weaker your immune system is, and you need all the immune system you can get right now. I would recommend seeing a doctor just to give you the piece of mind, but I would be pretty shocked if you came back and said you had an STD, but theoretically it is possible, though unlikely.
