First of all...no std's will show symptoms the same day so the soreness you experience has nothing to do with it.
Secondly. If you had an std with symptoms, they would get worse. They would not gradually get better.
BUT because it was unprotected sex, you still were at risk for getting an std. So, you can either test for peace of mind. Or trust that the symptoms you experience are not from an std and remember to use condoms for every sexual encounter from now on.
It is weird.I am still looking for some rash or redness or any visible abnormality. The itching subsided a little more today but a little itchy where my pubic area becomes my shaft.I have had chlamydia symptoms a year back and these symptoms are nothing like it.Reason I came here to ask is because I have not health insurance now.
This kind of sounds like a yeast infection. The hot wet shower is a perfect atmosphere for yeast to grow, and if your partner had some yeast or something you may have picked up a bit of it. Yeast tends to be warm and itchy and in females there can be a discharge, I don't know if there is one in males, it varies with different people. If you aren't seeing sores that is a good sign...a rash is usually part of getting a yeast infection but honestly you will only know for sure by going to the doctor. If it is a yeast infection she needs to give you an antifungal to get rid of it, the longer you wait the worse it gets, USUALLY. in my experience that is. If it's something like herpes, it will probably just clear up with in a few days, but it really doesn't sound like an std....might even just be a rash in general....
Get yourself checked out by a doctor to be sure. I unfortunately have no experience with an Uncircumcized male other than my 4 month old son. My hubby is circumcized BUT I can tell you that a few years ago he suffered from these red spots that would appear near the tip/head of his penis. it didn't hurt him and they weren't blisters, just red spots. We could never determine what it was but testing came up negative for any STD's.
