An infection quetion

I'm a 30 year old married male, my wife is 7 months pregnant.......I have been in an affair with a work collegue for over a year (also 30 and married) I am concerned about my risk of infection....my wife's tests in march all came back negative........but I am slowly losing it I cannot sleep or eat with worry!!......I have had any symptoms ie burning with urination or any discharge but I may be obsessing over this so I just need some advice

The affair has finished and we remain friends but I worry that I have passed something on to my baby.........I couldn't live with myself if I did

Thanks

you need to cover your bases with full std testing for yourself. make sure herpes testing is included since it's typically not a part of routine std testing. If you contracted genital herpes and transmit it to your wife at this point in her pregnancy, it can have dire consequences for your unborn infant. Not saying this to scare you - being realistic about it with you so you understand the importance of getting full testing. You can get tested for chlamydia and gonorrhea anytime after 1 week after the last time you had sex with your other partner. you need to wait at least 6 weeks for syphilis testing and 3 months for herpes and hiv testing. cover your bases properly since your wife is pregnant and if you do have something, it might not have been reflected on the testing she had done for std's several months ago.

if you haven't had any symptoms, then you most likely do not have anything.  For peace of mind, go to your doctor and get tested.  (gono, chlam, siph, etc.).  It sounds more like anxiety.
