what should I do?

A couple of months ago I saw a woman about 4 times over 4 weeks.  Each time we had protected sex and I received unprotected oral.

I tend to be slightly paranoid about std's, though I thought I was being safe.  When my anxiety kicks in, I find myself checking my penis a lot and milking it to see if anything unusual is present.  To be clear I have not had any discomfort or burning when I urinate.  However, sometimes when I "check" I can express a small amount of fluid that can be cloudy-ish or clear.  Cloudy meaning partly clear with a cloudy component.

I understand it's a mucous membrane so some mucous will always be present but its the sometimes cloudy that makes me nervous.  It tends to come and go.  For instance, it tends to be cloudy in the morning...though there is no sign that it has discharged at all.  Also, when I masturbate, if I milk my penis shortly after I get an erection, the precum there sometimes has a cloudy or ***** look to part of it.

Since that time I have received 2 weeks of 500 mg levaquin.  The woman has also been tested for every std under the sun which all came back negative.  Any thoughts?  Am I making too much of this?  Should I leave my penis alone?

Thank you grace.   I appreciate your (and everyone else's) time that you give.  Its probably apparent that I have a lot of anxiety about this.

Just so I'm clear, two "clean" urine tests (both with dipstick *and* looking at it in a microscope) is a pretty reliable indicator that there is no ngu?  Particularly when combined with the negative chlamydia and gon tests?

Part of the reason I have so much anxiety is that I have a potential someone special in my life.  I have been afraid to move it forward at all because of this.  I would hate to potentially have anything that could harm her.

odds are this isn't a std going on. continue to follow up with the urologist as needed. it's not likely you have something infectious going on that isn't showing up on the urine testing you have had done so far.  the risk of a std from unprotected oral is incredibly small also.  the urine testing also would've picked up on ngu too.

Should I assume that with the negative test, the 2 weeks of levaquin, and the clear urine dip w/ micro (despite the watery discharge I noticed that day) that I am  free of anything that I could pass on to anyone?  Doesn't a urine dip with micro look for signs of NGU?  I truly thank you for your kind advice.

Additionally, yesterday they did a test on my urine labeled as: urine DIP w/ MICRO

I was told they found nothing.

So here's an update:  Yesterday I went back to the doctor who gave me the 2 weeks of 500 mg levaquin.  I had experienced orange colored semen with a lot of jelly-like clumps in it the night before.  The following day (the day I went to be seen) I was experiencing a small amount of watery discharge throughout the day.  I couldn't tell if it was urine or something else.

Anyway, apparently the firs time I went in (mid-December and about a month after my last exposure) they *did* in fact send my urine in for testing.  Gon. and chlamydia were both negative.  This was done before my treatment with levaquin.  They didn't tell me they were going to, but I'm happy they did.  Now I know its neither of those.

Any other suggestions?  This is approximately a month after finishing my levaquin.  Again my exposure was a few instances of protected vaginal intercourse and unprotected oral.

Over 90% of men get symptoms in 2-5 days. So could you be...yes, is it likely...no.

You need to forget about this and move on.

Also, could it be asymptomatic?

Thanks Vance.  I certainly hope you are correct.  There is no sign of discharge in the morning, when I imagine it would most readily be apparent.  I think.

The 2 weeks of 500mg levaquin should have covered just about anything anyway, correct?

If testing will help your anxiety then do so.

You have no green discahrge or constant discharge...not gonorrhea, not NGU.

Thank you for your input Vance.  Its appreciated because I have seen your responses on several threads here and get the idea you know what you're talking about.  What makes you think that its not an std?  Is it the 2 weeks of levaquin?

Here's what I understand:

Vaginal sex was protected and she tested clean for everything afterwards, so no risk there.

Unprotected oral sex is very low risk.

But what about stuff like gon. or NSU that can be passed through oral?  Though I don't think I'm getting discharge...sometimes I'm convinced that I am.  I know the milking can not help.  But when I look in the morning what I can squeeze out is definitely cloudy.  Then when I masturbate when I first get erect and the precum is just starting I can sometimes squeeze out stuff that looks like pus.  I highly doubt orally acquired gon (I think) because of no burning and very scant (if any really) discharge.  I guess, should I get tested?  The anxiety is bad.

You do not have a STD. Milking will cause discharge and it is not a symptom. Stop milking it is only feeding your anxiety.

If you want to be 100% safe then use condoms even for oral sex.

There's no discharge per se that I've noticed.  Its what is present when I squeeze my penis to  check what is there...a bad habit when my anxiety is high.  So, its not constant.  First thing in the morning it will be cloudy then typically most of the rest of the day it will be clear when checked.

The levaquin has been done for a couple of weeks now.

I understand since she had negative test results and we were protected things should be ok.  I'm concerned about maybe getting something from receiving unprotected oral?  I doubt gon. but what about NSU....can it be passed to others?

Hello,

Let's start by relaxing.  The mind can make the human body do the impossible.  Now, with the discharge you are having: Is it constant throughout the day?  Also, what is the onset for the discharge?  Normaly speaking, when people show symptoms of an STD or STI, they show more than just one. ( In your case, the discharge.)  Also I have seen that pressure to the prostate gland can cause expulsion of the alkaline fluid (precum) out of the urethra.  Complete the 500 mg levaquin treatment and then see if your discharge is still active.
-Best of luck-
