I wasn't doing it with the intention to mutilate myself due to emotional pain or what have you. I just wanted to take off the top layer of skin to try to make the freckle less visible and I misjudged how much to clip off by a lot.
Youch! Don't cut your freckles....
I like freckles..hope I don't offend or make you more focused when I say that actually... I find them adorable.
I'm a skin picker too, though. Since early childhood. Oh my god I cut my big toe like friggin' shrubbery. I've cut my hands from grabbing the scissors/razor to slice up my leg. Terrible habit..However, I thought skin picking was just obsessive compulsive. But it sounds like there is an underlying delusion that somehow your freckles are "bad" or should be "eradicated." So it sounds like a part of it.
But like I said..freckles are a lovely addition to a human being. Like pumpkin spice in my pancakes..and sliced bananas....mmm yes.
