Can you pass a yeast infection through genital rubbing?

I just recently had protected sex with my boyfriend, but during foreplay we did make skin contact without a condom, by rubbing on each others genitals (no insertion). I hadnt realized that I had a yeast infection until the next day, as it was mild. the only symptoms that i recognized from my previous experience was the itching and discharge. i have already taken canesoral (1 day) and my symptoms are already gone. i also know that i did not get the yeast infection from my boyfriend as i did already have the itching before that night, but i hadnt considered it to be a yeast infection then.

my question is, could he get the infection from me? after we were done, he did clean up, and he is circumcised. what are the chances of him getting the infection, even if there was no insertion? if this is possible, what should i recommend to him?

An antifungal cream for jock itch or athlete's foot will clear it up if he gets it.  Fungal infections like yeast are easily spread between body parts on an individual and between people.

Hi Blue, A yeast infection can go back and forth between you both, its best if you both go on meds to clean it up, even if he shows no infection.
Good Luck
