Please clarify if "pins and needles" is that prickly sensation like when the circulation gets cut off then returns or if you're  saying anxious, like on pins and needles.

Hi sharon747, how are you? Hope you are feeling better? Can you give some more details as to which part of the body in particular is affected and since when you started getting this sensation? Do you check your blood sugar and blood pressure regularly?
"Paresthesia is often the result of poor circulation in the limbs, paresthesia can also be a symptom of vitamin deficiency and malnutrition, as well as metabolic disorders like diabetes, hypothyroidism, and hypoparathyroidism, muscle cramps which may be a result of clinical anxiety or excessive mental stress, bone disease, bad posture, unsafe heavy lifting practices or physical trauma such as whiplash".
Hope you may get more info through this link:

It is better to consult a neurologist and get evaluated. Take care and update.
