Iron and Calcium suplements does not help.
Your best solutions will come from your doc. If you can't afford a CPAP, ask your doc for strategies, such as not sleeping on your back which can worsen it.
I need help. I'm losing my life.
Hi, I'm sorry no one has helped you with your problem yet... Have you had any other tests done to see if there might be something, other than sleep apnea causing your problems?
There are a number of things that can cause fatigure/tiredness/lack of energy... You should ask your doctor to do some blood tests for thyroid (Free T4, Free T3 and TSH, along with antibody tests), Vitamin B-12 - deficiency can cause horrible fatigue/lack of energy. It can also cause one to be so tired, they're unable to sleep properly and may present symptoms suggestive of sleep apnea or may even cause sleep apnea.
I'd strongly suggest you discuss these things with your doctor and if s/he refuses to order these simple blood tests, perhaps it's time to find a different doctor. That said, I'd also recommend that you get the sleep study done, because lack of sleep have profound effect on your entire life - both mental and physical.
