Hi,

Yes, in that case keep your imaginary friends along with your real life friends, but ensure that your life's interest and activities are not compromised because of time spent with the imaginary friends. Remember, every one of us has got a child within us, that is why, we get much attached to our childhood friends. You do not need to forget them, you can have more friends as you grow up. In this process, what practically happens is, as you get more engrossed with day to day life, those imaginary friends will slowly fade away from your mind, with out creating a mental conflict. It is like, if you take away the toys from a child while playing , it will cry and tend to get more attached to it. But the same child throws away those toys once it grows up, of its own. Finally you should also make sure that you do not carry a guilty feeling that you are having some imaginary friends, take it as a part of life and never bother much about it. Remember, there is a child in every adult, though  many are not aware of it, that is the reason why people love their childhood friends more than anybody else. As the life becomes more complex as you grow up, you get less and less time to think of them and slowly they fade away from the memory.

I am currently 13 and still have imaginary friends. I know how you feel.  It feels good to be with them, but I tend to worry that it might not be the best for me. I often get so worried that I spend hours on the internet researching the outcomes of imaginary friends. Over time, I have learned worrying about your Imagnary friends will do you no good, you simply have to let them fade away. Also, my friends are the cartoon characters from Miraculous and  from Percy Jackson and Kane chronicles. What I do to help me is pretending as though I am mad at them, then putting them on "Silent treatment" where I try to go a week or longer without talking to them. I do notice that if I get bored my'friends' talk to me more, so try to keep yourself busy. For me it was writing my own stories, so instead of enacting it in person, I put my feelings and creativity on paper.

Trust me, tell them to go away in the name of Jesus! :)
They are trying to control you and you have to take this power back from them in Jesus name! Just say Jesus over and over until you feel better!
Read Mark 9 KJV, please! I have struggled with imaginary friends and I could use a buddy so please message me and we can work through this together and quit this together!
Happy new year!!! :D

I don't want to keep my imaginary friends. They need to go away but they won't. Please help me. It's starting to scare me how when I try to ignore them the voices get even louder and I find myself talking to them and having bad conversations with them all of the time even though I try not to. They make me talk even when I don't want to.

Hello, im 14 and I've been stuck in my dream world before. Real life sucked, so I had my own world. I still do, just try keeping yourself overly busy. Almost to the point of stressed, an your mind won't wander to them. It's good to have a dream world/friends but controlling them can be hard. I have cartoon friends too. Don't feel bad but I had a pairate friend for the longest time ever! His name was Jake. And several cats as well, all with names, fetures, and persanalitys. I understand! I thought I was alone, but I'm not. :) Thinking about real friends will make your imaginary ones fade away and be forgotten. Although don't forget how to recall them. I'm sure some point in life your friends will ditch you and you'll be lonly. Just focuse on your realy friends and they'll disappear.

PM me if you'd like to talk, just thinking now I remeber some of my favorit friends. :) actually I've been lonly lately and I might want to recall a few of them. Please, PM me. I don't bite, much.
