Scared....

This doesn't really fall specifically under teen health but i couldn't really find a better place to post - sorry.

Well...about 2 months ago one morning when i woke up there was a bulge on the side of my penis. I was terrified and shaking in the shower from fear. I rushed to the internet and tried to diagnose it via google and wikipedia (I know, that's pretty lame) and decided it was a cyst. I was told to leave it for a while and it would go away by itself. You can imagine how difficult that is for a teenager.

I managed to leave it alone for about a week but then I started masturbating again, but I tried to only hold the left side of my penis so I couldn't disturb my thing. After a while of this my care for it started to fade and I started masturbating normally again - I wish I hadn't though.

I felt around it and it felt like someone had described a cyst on a website, but unlike how others had. It's kinda like a solid lump that I can squeeze into shapes a little...like if I press down from both sides of it in the middle, it goes into a donut shape...to as much as I can feel anyway. I haven't gone to any doctors about this or even told anyone because its ridiculously embarassing to me and I have some other stuff going on with my penis that i don't want people to know or tell me about (Fordyce's Spots, I managed to diagnose those on my own). I'm trying to resist masturbating and haven't done so for a few days now. Anyone in my position can relate to how difficult it is to stop, i'm sure...

I don't know what else to say really. I've had sex before (With one girl, multiple times...), i'm not currently sexually active, i clean regularly and i'm fairly healthy.

I've posted in your topic, DAN.

Over the last week the lump shrank kinda rapidly. Now it's unnoticable and there's no way you would notice it unless i pointed it out, and even then you probably wouldn't find it for a while.

It seems gone...if it returns, then so shall i...

Wouldn't i have to go see a specialist though? I'd really rather not get my family involved in this...they're rather cruel about personal things and i'm somewhat the black sheep as it is.

hi, i'm writing cause one of the kid i babysit seems to have at least three lumps on his penis and he's only 2 years old. his mom took him to the doctor and he said it's cysts. he's waiting for an ultrasound appointment now to see how severe the situation is and if it should be removed right away. you should go get it checked! i'm looking for info and advices on this too to help him...

Ugh, forgot to say...

It isn't painful, it hasn't grown (Except under a specific circumstance, which i'll explain) or shrunk but it's certainly noticable. I don't think it's actual location well earlier either, so i'll try again. It's about 1.5cm below the head of my penis, under my foreskin. I'm uncircumcized. I can kinda move it around...but it returns to it's original position. If i pull my foreskin all the way down it kinda rises up my penis and is more visible as it is then right below the head, bulging out more. (This may seem stupid but I heard it helps, correct me if i'm incredibly wrong...) I've shone a light through my foreskin to check how solid it is, but it isn't even visible with a light so i guess it's...hollow? Not sure, honestly...

Anyway, onto the growing...It's only ever grown when i masturbate. It grows slightly in size when i get an erection (As most stuff down there does...) but not especially noticably. What really alarmed me though, is after i've ejaculated the majority of the upperside of my penis becomes somewhat swollen. It's ever so slightly painful if i poke around it, so i tried not to in fear of it becoming worse. It's quite uncomfortable though and very noticable.

Flacid it would probably go un noticed by most unless they were specifically looking for it.
Erect it would be noticed.
While touching it while erect it would be impossible not to notice...
While having sex...you would certainly notice it.
After orgasm you'd had to be blind and have no sense of touch to not notice it.

I'm not trying to say i'd trick girls into having sex with me or anything if it was smaller knowing i could have something wrong with me. Just that, even if this is something harmless, it's NOT attractive and there's nothing i currently hate more than it...

*Sigh*..
