Tooth Extraction

I recently had my bottom last moler extracted.  I wanted to know if it is normal to have the discomfort in my jawbone area and a little discomfort in the left part of my neck to my left ear as well as discomfort to swallow? I am not in pain..its really just discomfort..unless I accidentally hit that site of extraction.  How do I know if it is *Dry Socket*?

It's usually recommended that if you do smoke, you at least stop for a couple of weeks AFTER an extraction.

if it was a dry socket you would be in ALOT of pain.... its probably just the normal pain that comes along with an extraction.....if the pain get to be really bad then you need to go back to the dentist and have him check it out...

just take a few advil, and put some ice on your face.... try that for a few days and just watch the area...make sure you keep it clean after eating and dont brush to hard on that side....rinse with warm salt water after eating/drinking.smoking....
