broken pinky toe

I think i may have broken my little toe. I have wrapped it up with my other toes to keep it still after reading its the treatment usually given to help it heal. I'm just wondering if there is anything else that could happen to it from here? There is no penetration of the skin so I don't think there is a chance of infection but I'm not a professional. So, what could happen? Please help. :)

Hi!
Well, yes, wrapping the little toe with the rest is a way to treat such fractures. However, it is best to get an X-ray. At times, there are many fracture segments and these may not heal appropriately. So the little toe may become disfigured. Other than this, if it is a normal fracture then you need not worry. It will heal in 4-6 weeks. Take care!
