late period, HELP!!

hi, im 17 years old and im currently 3 days late. I'm not usually late at all, i have the usual signs such as slight bloating, breast enlargement and tenderness, slightly moody, cramps etc, but i have no menstual flow. i am sexually active but we always use a condom, i am currently at the end of high school and studying for my final exams, could that be the cause?  i'm hoping someone out there has been through omething similar. s

Stress can easily cause you to have a late period, so try not to freak out too much. The symptoms for pregnancy are unreliable as these symptoms are also the same for stress, illness, hormonal fluctuations, medication side effects, weight changes, exercise changes, etc. If you are nervous, take a home pregnancy test at least 2 weeks after having or after a missed period and that can give you an answer to help ease your mind(just to know one way or the other). This is the only way you will know if you are pregnant or not. Take the home pregnancy test with first morning urine, which is the most concentrated and can more easily pick up on the pregnancy hormone(hcg) in your urine(if you are pregnant). Also, I suggest you look into getting on some form of birth control yourself to help add extra protection against pregnancy. Condoms are good, but they are not as effective as the birth control pill, birth control patch, and so on. This can help give you more peace of mind as well. Hope it all goes well and good luck with final exams!

No problem. :) Symptoms can mean so many things, so it's never just one straight answer.

I noticed I didn't finish part of what I wrote, as it was supposed to say "at least 2 weeks after having *sex" ... missed that part. I type too fast some times.

Hope studying is going well and I think the tests won't be too bad.
