Normal levels but abnormal ultrasound?

So, when I was pregnant with my 2nd and 3rd babies, I was diagnosed both times with Hyperthyroidism and placed on PTU.  My maternal grandmother had hyperthyroidism so badly that she burned out her thyroid basically and is now hypothyroid and takes synthroid for it.  I was tested (TSH, Free T3 and Free T4) after pregnancy- about one month out after both of them and the levels were "normal."  I don't know the numbers though.

Well, recently I have had issues with a 10lb weight gain that is pretty unexplainable.  My doctor ran my TSH, Free T3 and Free T4 and they did a thyroid ultrasound too.

Today the doctors office called and said the blood work was "normal"...again no numbers given, but my ultrasounds showed a few cysts or growths.

What could this mean?

Ask your Doctor for a print out of your 'levels' as you may be heading Hyper again.

Cysts are not anything to worry about for now.  Watch them and see if they change.  Cysts are fluid filled, not anything to fret over but need to be watched.
