Hi
Well, you had earlier mentioned right shoulder ):. This changes the picture. Pain under the left shoulder blade is usually a referred pain from abdomen like stomach ulcers, pancreatitis, or from the chest like in heart attack, pericarditis, pleuritis, pneumonia, pulmonary embolus, and aortic dissection. As I mentioned earlier it could also be an inflammatory bowel condition like Crohn’s disease, IBS or ulcerative colitis, which due to malabsorption and poor diet can cause weight loss. All these are generally diagnosed by endoscopies and colonoscopies.
The other possibility is intolerance to food—gluten, lactose, starch etc.
Please consult an internal medicine specialist and rule out all the causes one by one and a confirmed diagnosis cannot be given on net.
Hope this helps. Take care!
Have they checked your gallbladder? The pain can radiate to your shoulders and of course cause stomach pain and bowel problems. A quick x-ray and they can tell if you have gall stones.
The thing with your arms falling asleep could be a different matter. It sounds like a pinched nerve.
I hope you find out what's going on. Take care. Remar
I forgot to mention that when they checked my blood they said they checked my Liver Enzymes and they were fine .... The Gi Doc said he wanted to do a Ct of my Abdomen but about 5 months ago i went to the ER for back pain and chest pain ... the gave me pain meds and a IV to rehydrate me ... did a CT scan of my abdomen and found nothing so i went home ... the Current Gi just pulled that information and said i was it was fine and take when he told me to continue to take what i was taking and see you in a month.
Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
You have been to a GI doctor so it might sound strange to you but a GI doctor only can help you out. Since you have stomach issues along with right shoulder blade hurting get a liver function test, ultrasound or CT of abdomen, and pancreatic enzymes. Liver dysfunction like alcoholic liver disease, liver infection etc can all cause this problem. Liver problems can cause weight loss.
It could also be an inflammatory bowel condition like Crohn’s disease, IBS or ulcerative colitis, which due to malabsorption and poor diet can cause weight loss. All these are generally diagnosed by endoscopies and colonoscopies.

Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
