Hello,
After reading your symptoms, they doesn’t seem to be related to neurological pathology.I feel that the doctors are right in saying that it can be migraine. You see that migraine can be precipitated in stress and other precipitating factors include hormone changes like before and after periods, certain foods, changes in weather and sleeping patterns, menstrual periods and missing meals.
Diagnosis of migraine is based on the history of symptoms, physical examination, and neurological tests. The tests are performed to rule out other neurological and cerebrovascular conditions.
First of all lifestyle modification is required. Go to sleep and waking up at the same time each day. Exercise regularly (daily if possible). Limit stress through regular exercise and relaxation techniques, Avoid bright or flashing lights and wearing sunglasses if sunlight is a trigger, Identify and avoid foods that trigger headaches by keeping a headache and food diary and Limit caffeine consumption to less than two caffeine-containing beverages a day. You can also try OTC pain killers. If still the symptoms persist, then please consult a physician for specific anti-migraine therapy.
Hope it helps. Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing or if you have any additional queries.
If you can, you should try to see a massage therapist. I was having the same problems minus the fainting a long time ago. I went to school to become a massage therapist and while I was there the constant massaging(usually 4 a week) helped with most of the problems I was having. Also if you can find someone who does Cranial Sacral therapy it does miracles for the migraines. At first it doesn't seem like it's doing anything because it feels like the therapist is just barely touching your head, but what is actually happening is they are very slowly shifting the bones in your skull. Sometimes the bones will move out of place-you won't be able to tell the difference but it can cause loads of problems one of them being migraines. After having the crainal sacral therapy my migraines were completely gone, and I used to get them at least twice a week, and most times they would get so bad I'd have to go to the hospital for pain meds. If you do go to a therapist you might want to ask about trigger point therapy as well, that could probably help alot and be worked into a massage session.
