Headaches

For the past month or two, perhaps even longer, although I cannot specifically recall, I have been having the most awful headaches.  It feels as if someone is pressing on both sides of my head, and it is sometimes accompanied by nausea and an inability to concentrate.  The muscles in my jaw also tighten up tremendously.  I was suffering through extreme anxiety up until about two or three weeks ago, which seemed to cause a wide range of physiological symptoms including the occasional tension headache, but the anxiety has calmed somewhat recently.  Still I feel like I'm now on a very short fuse, .  I also have a mild ringing in my ears which occasionally manifests into brief, five-or-ten second episodes of intense ringing, like one I had this morning.  I've been to a slew of doctors over the last few months, including an internist and a neurosurgeon, both of whom performed blood tests (which came back just fine), but neither of whom seemed worried about the headaches although they seem to have intensified since I went to the doctor.  Lemon tea always seems to help with the headaches, but never gets rid of them entirely.  I also have episodes of soreness and fatigue in my neck, culminating at a single point on the left side of the neck just below the base of the skull.  The neck pain is also sometimes accompanies by nausea.

I'd like to know whether this is something to explore further, or speak to the neurosurgeon about the next time I see him, or whether this is all pretty benign, and I ought to stop worrying.  Simply thinking about it is incredibly taxing, and has really taken a lot out of me.

Any and all advice is sincerely appreciated.

One addendum I feel is important: these headaches almost always occur in the afternoon or early evening, typically between 4 and 7 PM.  I've had them once or twice in the mornings, but otherwise it's nearly never any earlier than 4.  Also, as nauseous as I've felt, I've never vomitted.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
It is difficult to diagnose the cause of headaches on net. Sinusitis, refractive errors of the eye, migraine, cluster headaches, brain tumors, high blood pressure, tension headaches, temporal arteritis, pinched cervical spinal nerve, TMJ, poor or disturbed sleep etc are several causes of headaches. Dental pain and ear ache due to infection or impacted wax can cause similar symptoms. Needless to say, a persisting headache should be investigated.  Please consult a headache and migraine specialist to rule out these causes one by one. Take care!

i had the same thing happening to me last year and it lasted months...and seemed to happen at the same time each day. I went to the doctor and they told me it was migraines and to try drinking a cup of coffee and take some advil...the coffee helped a lot but didn't get rid of the ringing, or the sickening feeling i had in my gut. I was verys stressed as well...about 2 or 3 weeks after the stress was gone all my health problems cleared up on their own....if you are really worried that something more serious is going on i'd suggest seeing a doctor

Neurosurgeon will only help you and assist you in your journey to try to avoid toxic compounds. Lemon helps may be addition of vitamin C. Take some beta-carotine mixed with basic and safe advice from neurosurgeons, aspirin or Advil or any other medicine to reduce the symptoms. Also, check the heart and fat levels impact on the body. Fat can become a microbial mixture for harmful agents if it is not replenished with vitamins and minerals.
