Hi,

It’s definitely not normal to lose or gain 2lbs of weight over 24 hrs as such rapid changes in weight can have deleterious effects on the heart, kidneys etc. I can’t think of any condition where there are such rapid changes in body weight. I don’t think you need to measure your body weight on daily basis unless and until you are also having any other problem/symptoms as this will unnecessarily increase your anxiety and stress which of course is not desired. If you are eating well and you don’t have any other symptoms, you don’t need to worry at all. I’ll suggest you to Enjoy life to the fullest and give a little rest to your weighing machine also as it seems it’s also being stressed out. This was just on the lighter side.

I sincerely hope that helps. Please do keep me posted.

Best Regards.

Thanks very much for your comments.. Perhaps I should have re-phrase the question.
Is it normal have to lose or gain about 2lbs  weight over a 24hr period as I weigh myself every morning.. I'm wondering if that would make sense.. I have been using the same scale for the past 6 months..
No I haven't been suffering any diarrhea or loosing a large amount of fluids.

Hi,

No, it’s not at all normal to have fluctuations of 2lbs in weight overnight. You see, it can happen if you are suffering from diarrhea where one looses a large amount of fluids and if fluid is not replenished with oral intake, such changes can occur but such changes in the weight don’t occurring a normal person. There’s a possibility if you have used different weighing machines for measuring the weight. Slight variations can occur with the same machine also. However, if you’re not suffering from any other symptoms, I don’t think you need to worry a lot.

I sincerely hope that helps.

Please do keep me posted.
