Have any of you checked into the Candida diet? Candida is the bad bacteria in our colon that is usually kept in check by the good bacteria. When we take antibiotics, it kills both good and bad. The candida multiplies faster than the good bacteria, especially if you eat high carb/sugar diets. so it can cause an over growth of yeast in our colon because the candida thrive on sugar. The overgrowth of Candida is basically toxic for us. It can cause many different health problems if gone unchecked. I've just started eating yogurt everyday and taking probiotic pearls to replenish the good bacteria. I feel much better and can definately feel a difference in all areas just by doing that for a week.. I'm going to start the diet tomorrow. Just to name a few of the symptom from the book I just bought on the diet. The Bible Cure by: Don Colbert M.D

I'm 21 and I have random stabbing pains as well. It started around three weeks ago when I cut my finger real bad on broken glass. When I had my cut looked at, the doc made sure I was up to date on my tetanus shot (I was), and said that the pains were due to my muscles tensing up when I cut my hand (it was really stressful, considering no one was home and blood was everywhere). Before then, I had been under a lot of stress and I felt anxious (not just worried) about school, money, and relationships; the cut was icing on the cake as far as stressful events were concerned. I've had stress-related health problems before (migraines, then sleep problems). I think it's a vitamin deficiency+stress combo, so I'm going to try taking some of my omega 3 vitamins (EPA and DHA) to see what happens, because I did feel less stressed when I took them before. I also will try to drink vitamin D milk and get a quality zinc supplement. I'm also making changes in my life that will help my particular brand of stress (like trying to get a job I'm better suited for, changing schools, etc.) I'll repost if this helps my symptoms, because hopefully it can help you all as well. I know how much this *****.
I'm glad I found this discussion, since at first I thought it was some freak fatal condition. I'm actually relieved to know that it might just be 'in my head'!
I have something like that too. It feels like something has a hammer inside my body and is pounding upward. It only happens every once and while. It is usually around my ribs or legs but it had happened all over. It hurts alot. I have had it since I was little and sometimes it hurts a lot more than other times.
I am a thirty-six year old nurse. Reading everyone's posts really makes me glad and sad all at the same time (especially for the young people). Like everyone else I have been told that my symptoms are in my head, but we all can't all be crazy. In nursing school every disease I studied, I felt like I had, but like everyone else I was tested, and found no evidence of an illness. My most recent doctor thought it might be Fibromyalgia ( his way of saying I don't know whats wrong with you). He also mentioned nerve damage. I will not gie up tring to find out what is wrong with me, and I hope everyone else will do the same. If I get a logical reason for my pains, I will share it with everyone, and I hope we all receive the answer we are searching for. We are not crazy. here nis a list of my symptoms.
fatigue
sharp pains every where, top of my feet, chest, back, both knees etc.......
ringing in my ears, that I have had for at-least ten years
stomach pains
numb feet and hands
pain at the bottom of my feet
and the list goes on and on
I also want to caution people on taking to muct ibuprofen, because it can cause stomach bleed.
