Really bad bloating and constant belching

I have been having really bad gas for a few weeks now I am currently pregnant in my 2nd almost 3rd trimester and I have such severe gas and bloating and heartburn it feels like my food is still in my throat.  I can't stop burping and when I wake in the morning I still have to burp so much that I have a tired full feeling in mu chest.  what could this be??? is this just a bad case of heart burn???  my doctor prescribed cimetidine but it does not seem to be helping.

It didn't happen too frequently with me, but I just "toughed it out."  Yes, it is definitely no fun.  I had it about the same time you are having it now; end of the second trimester going into the third.  I ate small meals and drank small amounts throughout the day so my stomach would not be so full.  I avoided greasy foods, soda, caffeine; basically anything that could aggravate my stomach.

I would definitely let your physician know especially if it is frequent and/or worsening.

Thank you, It is just about the worst thing that I have experienced while pregnant and I want it to go away sooo bad.  did your doctor prescribe anything for you or did you have to tough it out??

I would let your physician know that the Tagamet is not working for you.  I do not know how many medication options you will have because you are pregnant.

This is related to the baby growing and pushing up on your diaphragm, upper abdomen, etc.

This is common; I had it too.
