im a 40 yr old female with symptoms my doctor and i havent put a name to. i had surgery to remove my c-4 and c-5 disks which herniated. my spinal canal is more narrow than normal probally genetic, now i know my coccyx is twisted possibly genetic. i have pain in all my joints all the time as well as burnnig sensations in my back and shoulders, weakness in arms and  legs at times. during flare ups my whole body hurts my arms draw up for comfort my shoulders hunch, i can hardly walk and i cant get up a 2 inch step. the only thing that helps is steroids and pain medication. ive been tested for the different arthritis factors all have come back negative. i find im starting to walk like my mother with hunched shoulders and a cane on bad days. mentally this has taken a toll. i cant go shopping for any period of time without shooting pain in my hips, cant exercise like i used to, its depressing. if anyone has any suggestions to guide my doctor and i in a direction would be appreciated. this has been going on for at least 5 years with hip starting when i was 25 yrs old.

Just out of curiosity...is the pain in your bones or muscles?  Your symptoms sound alot like my mother's.  She suffers from PNKD.  But she has muscular spasms along with the widespread pain.

Hi
Welcome to the forum!
I am sorry to hear about what you are going through. Since you have been having issues with bones and joints and have been tested negative for arthritis, other possibilities like parathyroid hormone dysfunction, low calcium, or low Vitamin D should be looked into.
Please discuss this with your specialist.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
