red bumps on ankles

Last night I noticed that I have little red bumps on my ankle.  They go around my ankle, like an ankle bracelet.  I also have just one on the other ankle.  They do not itch or hurt.  They are barely raised.

I am living with a friend right now and sleep on an inflatable mattress.  I also went on a hike in the mountains near them about a week ago.

Any ideas?  Thanks!

Fleas...Lyme disease...or some parasitic origin like bed bugs. Seek medical attention if not gone in a couplke days. Possibly poison ivy...try calamine cream or benadryl cream but monitor closely.

With that history, it sounds like chigger bites.  Did you have socks with elastic where you see the bumps?  They do that under elastic.

If it is chiggers they are going to itch like crazy.  Chiggers don't carry disease, but if you scratch them they are going to get ugly.
