Burning After Masturbation

For the past two weeks, Every time after I masturbate (I am a male), I get a burning sensation around the base of my penis and the root of my penis. The burning can last for a day or two and is more annoying then unbearable. Gold bond powder helps a little, as does neosporin. My last sexual encounter was over a month ago (protected), I have since been checked by my Dr. for Chlamydia and Gonorrhea, those test's were negative and I have had no sores (like Herpes) at all. What is the problem? Should I be concerned?

Hello,

If the burning sensation is on the outside skin then chafing is an important possibility. You can apply some calamine lotion at the rash as it will help in soothing the skin. Also wear cotton undergarments. Application of mild corticosteroid cream and oral antiinflammatories like ibuprofen/acetaminophen are also helpful. Also use plenty of lubricants while masturbation. If the symptoms are severe then it will be best to consult a doctor.

I hope it helps. Take care and regards.

Make sure you're using lubrication. If you don't it can cause chafing.
