Burning while urinating

Ok, I have been having a burning sensation while urinating for about a month now, it isnt all that bad its about a  5 or 6 out of 10 of pain.  The thing that is weird, is that it goes away for a few days, and comes back, and then goes away again, some days it is worse some days it is totally gone.  This may be my imagination but it seems when I am almost done urinating the flow completely stops instead of stopping slowly. What do you guys think?

P:S I havent went to the DR, because I have no insurance, and little $ and like I said before the pain isnt unbearable.

Just an update it has been over a month since my last post and it still hurts.  I havent been to a DR yet because the pain hasnt gotten any worse. However I will probably go in a few weeks if it keeps up.  As for discharge I havent had any that I know of, and I dont think I would have any stds because I have been comitted to the same girl for over 2 yr now, and she says she's been faithful to me(we all know how that can be though)Also the pain seems to start about a second or so after I start urinating and ends around when i am done.  Hope this helps in telling me what this could be.

Hi,
Can you try to recall when the pain is present? Does the pain seem to be most prominent during the initial flow of urine or more towards the end? Any blood?
If the pain is during the initial flow, the problem may be more related to the penile urethra – this is the tube through which urine and semen flow out of. Some common causes of pain here would be infections like gonorrhea (this is usually associated with discharge). One kid who posted here, had a timeline of pain after masturbation and I was thinking if it could be related to semen coagulum causing some obstruction during the initial flow. Not sure if this is the case with you.
If the pain is towards the end of the flow, the problem may be higher up in the bladder. Infection would still be possible, another condition could be stones in the bladder. Once the bladder nears complete drainage – the stones tend to irritate the bladder wall more.
In any case, may be a good idea to see your doctor. Some tests may be indicated. The money you are saving may be gone if the condition starts to worsen. Listen to your body, if it is getting worse, best get the consultation.
stay positive.
