Do I have symptoms of STD

I recieved unprotected oral sex from a female 13 days ago and have been having symptoms of pain in my penis towards the tip underneath the shaft when i urinate. I also have seen very very light spots of blood when i wipe the tip of my penis after i urinate and a soar throat and fever. After i recieved oral sex from the female, 4 days later i had unprotected sex with my girl of 4years. While we were having sex, she made a sudden move as my penis was going down in her vagina and i could feel like i hit a bone or something. right after, i ejaculated and i felt the pain underneath the shaft of my penis towards the tip. But i ignored the pain and again had sex minutes afterwards. After the second ejaculation, pain was still there but not as bad. The next morning i got up to urinate and the pain was still there only worse. A few days later pain was still there when i urinate and i started to develop a soar throat and soar groin on both sides. Not sure if groins are swollen. So i went to ER 3 days ago and was swabbed and treated for std with rocephin and azithromycin and was told results would take 1-2 weeks to come back negative or positive. I really didnt ask many questions like I should have at the time, but didnt know what to ask. Well today im still having pain in my penis, a soar throat and fever, and soar groins.

So my questions are 1)  Is there a possibility that i only bruised my penis while having sex? If so, should i still be feeling pain 7 days later? I would say it has eased up little but still painful. 2) Or is there a strong possibility that Im suffering from an STD like gonorrhea? By the way I have not had any discharge. 3) Could I have gotten the STD of the throat from french kissing the female if she has oral std? Or is this just coincidence that I got a cold at the same time. This is bothering me cause I have to wait till end of next week to find out my test results and let my girl know she needs to go get tested immediately. Please help. Thank you

Hi,

So, it is possible that there was a stricture, occurring as a consequence of the trauma. The fact that there is no further blood in the urine indicates that the break in the urethral mucosa is healing. This is a very crucial stage as formation of urethral strictures occurs as healing progresses, due to formation of scar tissue.

You will need to ensure that you keep the lumen of the urethra flushed frequently so as to avoid adhesions and the formation of a stricture. You will need to keep your fluid intake at the point were you need to pass urine every 2 hours.

Also, avoid sexual intercourse and masturbation for a week or so to give the tissues enough time to heal.

Hi,

If the pain in the penis subsided after you felt the popping sensation, it is possible that you had a trauma-induced stricture that has opened up and is allowing smoother flow of urine. This would also be marked by some relief in pain symptoms. As you are on antibiotics, it is unlikely that you could develop any infection from the break in the mucosa caused by the stricture(?).

Blood at the beginning of urination indicates that the source of bleeding is in the urethra or at the bladder outlet.

Prostatitis can also cause persistent pain in the penis and perineal region. This type of pain is intensified on sitting for prolonged periods or on hard surfaces. And prostate infections are usually not detected on routine urinalysis, but need specific investigations in the form of prostate fluid analysis, prostate ultrasound, etc.

Have you noticed a lessening of pain since the blood started appearing in the urine, or is it still at the same level? Ensure that you keep fluid intake over 2000 ml and try to acidify your urine with vitamin C-rich foods and juices. Vitamin C will also help in faster healing of any mucosal break, such as that in the urethra.

regards

My results for chlamydia and gonorrhea came back negative. its been 17 days now and still having pain in tip of penis. today i went to urinate and i felt like some pressure at tip and then a felling of a pop and a straight stream of blood flowed. since, every time i urinate, i see a small amount of blood come out and then it turn to color of pee. went to er again and they gave a cat scan and took blood. have to see urologist for results hopefully next week. anyone have any ideas of what im going through? urine sample for uti also came back negative. and all this is still going on even after the er just treated me for std with rocephin and azithromycin to be on safe side. and this was weeks ago.

Hi,

It is possible that you have bruised the penis. If you have no other associated symptoms, such as discoloration of the penis, priapism (constant state of erection or semi-erection), etc., it is safe to assume that no significant injury occurred to the penis. Some amount of pain is possible after 7 days of mild trauma, but it would be very minimal.

It is possible that you could have an STD contracted through the oral sex. Organisms, such as N. gonorrhea, can cause simultaneous infections of the genital tract and the oral mucosa, if contracted from the same episode of contact. It is also possible that the infection could be due to other common organisms like streptococcus.
These organisms should be susceptible to the antibiotics you have been prescribed, but if you are not able to appreciate any significant change after 3 days of treatment, speak with the prescribing doctor and switch to another antibiotic, ciprofloxacin or norfloxacin.

Ensure that you complete the course of antibiotics and keep fluid intake over 2000 ml. Add citrus fruits and juices to your diet and avoid caffeine and alcohol while under treatment.

do keep us posted on your progress and any other doubts.
regards,
