Gunshot wound to the penis, how long to fully recover?

I recently got shot in the arm, the bullet went straight though which grazed my inner thigh near my testicles and entered the base of my penis with the bullet inside the scrotum. This happened 3 and a half weeks ago and first my penis was swollen up with a lot of water I was told due to the surgery. They had to cut it open from the underside at the base near my scrotum in the middle. The healing so far is good, but now when I get an erection it is nowhere near what it used to be and a little painful. I'm thinking because it is still healing and that scar tissue may be filling where blood used to flow. How long will it take for me to fully recover?

Thanks, so my size and girth should be back to normal you're saying. It's just a matter of time?

I also forgot to mention that the surgery I had was to remove the bullet. The stitches from the surgery and from the entry dissolved and addition the the minor pain with erection my penis has a different curve to it. It's not as thick or long as it was. I am hoping that in a few more weeks of healing it will come back to normal.
