E coli in urine

I had a urine culture done by my Dr and it came back positive for e coli. Could this possibly be caused by an std? Had sex with a new partner, used a condo m, about 2-3 weeks before the test.  I'm currently taking 500mg of cipro twice a day. Any input would be helpful thank you.
