Thanks you so much for the info. My doctor advice to take OMACOR for one month, Its 2 weeks now upon taking this medication, and it shows sign that almost my urine is totally clear and i don't have any other symptoms occurs like pain or urinary discomfort from now.

If my urine totally clear as water no sign of blood see on our naked eye, do i have to under go renal biopsy?

After one month i will go back to may doctor to report my progress, Yes I will post and update what ever the result.

Thanks you so much Dr. Smitha Mathews.. God Bless You!

Hi,

Unexplained blood and protein loss in urine can be due to certain immune system disorders, if the blood and protein are not accompanied by other factors such as kidney stones, infection, pain, etc.

One of these disorders, IgA nephropathy is characterized by painless hematuria (blood in urine) that presents during episodes of upper respiratory (colds) or gastrointestinal infection. This disorder is typified by the deposition of a protein in the vital kidney structures. This causes localized damage to microscopic kidney structures and can manifest as painless hematuria that is off and on.

IgA nephropathy is confirmed after examination of kidney tissue obtained via a renal biopsy. This condition has no effective cure and is managed with steroids and control of blood pressure and cholesterol.

Omega-3 fatty acids have been proven to slow the damage caused by this disorder and also reduce cholesterol levels.

Your doctor may have tried to treat you conservatively with this treatment based on a diagnosis of IgA nephropathy that he deduced from your symptoms and the test results without subjecting you to the pain and discomfort of a renal biopsy.

Do ensure that you keep your fluid intake high and contact your doctor immediately if you develop additional symptoms, such as swelling in feet, under-eye puffiness, breathlessness, etc.

Keep us posted on your doubts and progress.
