Pain in penis tip and groin

Hi,
It started with a burning feeling in the tip of penis and a little swelling at the opening.  After 3 days I went to the dr and he said it was just inflammation and told me to put a&d on it.  It's been over a week and the pain isn't as bad but it's still there, along with the swelling, and I've also started having  a pretty sharp pain in my right groin for the past week or so and now a consistent pain in my abdomen, more on the right side.  It's not an std.  I've had slight burning and a little groin pain in the past but it always went away.  This episode also started after an orgasm. I'm going to make an apt with a urologist but any thought on what it could be or what I can do to make it more comfortable until I get in to see him?  Thanks.
