Pressure, fullness, irritation in left abdominal, testicle, penis, groin

Hi there.

I am a 25 year old from the United Kingdom.

It all started rather sudden, i had woken up, I fell asleep with my girlfriend curled to the side of me NOT on top of me,  i woke with pains to my testicles (or the time it was mostly my right testicle) and my lower back. I went straight to the emergency room. I was examined, asked to pee in a cup thinking i had kidney stones and they found nothing and i left with just painkillers (codiene.)

Two days later, i developed pains in my abdomen, specifically my left flank of my stomach. I immediately made an appointment with our family doctor. Who again made me pee in a cup thinking it was kidney stones, the doctor said "you have too many pains in too many places" and admitted she was bewildered, she vaguely suggested it could be an infection, so she prescribed anti-biotics (7 days of co-amoxiclav)

Testicles started to behave strangely, pain now focuses mainly on my left testicle, it seemed to change positions, rotate, push itself high up in my scrotum.

What followed was seven days of hell, i had a dull ache in my testicles which was constant and the pain in my left stomach was so severe i COULD NOT physically lie down i was awake 3 days. I again went to the emergency room. Where the doctor check my stomach and testicles and said that i had Irritable Bowel Syndrome!!! i couldn't believe that, i was quite furious (he also got me to pee in a cup) - i was sent away without medication. At the height of this pain, the pain in my lower back totally disappeared.

I returned to the family doctor who checked me over for a hernia (at this point the pain in my testicles had reduced) AGAIN i was asked to pee in a cup. And she said she would refer me to a surgeon. No signs of a hernia was found.

The "pain" in the testicle is a dragging sensation in testicle left side only never really pain jsut irritation itchy internally pressure sense of awareness. Sometimes it felt like i was sat on them.

A week later an appointment came through for the specialist surgeon. He examined stomach again "no signs of a hernia were found" and testicles (pain started to return) again, said they were fine, even said i had "good balls," he said he wanted to put my mind at ease and said that i had epididymitis, which was not serious and was just an infection. I was at the time happy i had a diagnosis. It made sense to me, after taking the antibiotics the testicle pain went, but soon came back. so i assumed id need a further course. However - he didn't have an answer for my stomach pains (which had started to get better) however he sent me away without medication)

I returned to my doctor. At this point the testicle pain had shift to the head of my penis, it was a pain i can only describe as "pushing" like i was trying to force urine out involuntarily. Of course urine wasn't coming out, yet it felt like i was pushing it out hard! The doctor now gave me a two week course of Doxycycline, toward the end of this medication the Penis/testicle pain had subsided again. I again was asked to pee in a cup (i must point out, EVERY urine test has come back fine)

Which brings me to now.... the testicle/penis pain seems to have gone for now...HOWEVER, the left stomach/flank pain seemed like it had really set in to stay. Sleeping became hard again - i could push on my stomach, it wasn't at all tender, BUT it is irritated easily clothes/duvets/fabrics, seem to annoy it . Standing up settles it. laying down hurts it, i do work, and working has become embarrassing as i tend to wriggle about whilst sat in chairs, driving also is hard going, i have temporarily stopped driving as it seems dangerous.

Also i have now recently noticed my left testicle has shrunken to about the size of a cashew. It is also firm, i used to be bigger than my right testicle, after a bath it is quite noticeable how shrunken it is as there is a lot of flapping scrotum skin. i went back to my doctor (my doxycycline course has now finished) who has now organized a testicle scan and a urinary tract scan.

Can you put my mind at ease? i am fed up of being passed round clueless doctors, Can you tell me anything i can ask them to look for, because nobody seems to know what's happening and they don't see my testicles and left (lower) stomach as a connected problem, when i am sure it is!

Thinking about how this has all started i am convinced blood supply has been cut somewhere, can anyone help or give suggestions. I'm very worried. I do NOT have an STD as i am not sexually active (despite earlier mentioning i have a partner) and haven't been for some time.

I welcome all feedback.

Kindest Regards

Mark

Similar symptoms as well. Doctors sent me to a surgeon. Surgeon says it's not a hernia. I think we may have a Sport's Hernia(Athletic Pubalgia) it's hard to diagnose requires a real expert. I am going to see a Doctor who specializes in sport's medicine. Hope you get better mate.

I have the exact same symptoms of this. But on my right side. right testicle pressure and it is the same at work! I cannot sit up comfortable and it only eliviates IF I stand up. Had ultrasound done and hernia check, NOTHING. But I have this pain everyday and this pressure and gas in my stomach. Are they related? I have no idea... help!
