Need input!

Had terrible pain pelvic area. Stayed in bed most day with heating pad, felt a little better next day, 3rd day, went to OBGYN. Said bladder infection, took culture (which I will get results end of week). Gave me Cipro. Took both doses yesterday, felt tingling down right arm and fingers. Called doc, said to stop taking meds until we have results of culture.
I am drinking water, and cranberry juice like crazy. I hate antibiotics, they always do something to me. Get a little pain in my ribs, urine did have blood, but i cant see it, Doc told me. Urine normal color, and doesnt smell. Any ideas? Dont want to go back on antibiotics if I can help it.

I have IC.  The pain in my bladder is the worst I have ever had.  I see a Uro feb 15th I need something done.  I tried the last 4 days to not take well I haven't taking anything for the pain and boy did I find out that there is something wrong in there.  I passed a stone in Oct and it was stuck in the bladder.  I wonder if its still in there?  Could it be.  I have stayed soooo dehydrated due to a bad crohns flare up.  I think I haven't passed it?

Did they take biopsy's?  They always do for mine.  But I have some kind of cancer cells.  When in doubt ask?

Thank you both, curious to see results of my urinalysis. I will just keep drinking gallons of water to flush out a bit. Cant hurt. Wouldnt Pelvic Inflammatory Disease be ruled out when my OBGYN did pelvic exam?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
If there is blood in urine but you are unable to see it then it can be due to misrocscopic hematuria. Microscopic hematuria can be due to urinary tract (bladder) infection, swelling in the filtering system of the kidneys ,stone in bladder or in a kidney, blood disease, like sickle cell anemia, certain medicines and tumors in the urinary tract.

From your symptoms of groin pain and hematuria, kidney stones is an important possibility. The other possibility is of pelvic inflammatory disease.
You may need a series of investigations like urine examination, urine culture, ultrasound or cystoscopy to confirm the diagnosis. Please consult a urologist and get it done.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

It could mean kidney stones.  Thats the way some of mine of did.  Or interstitual cytitus both will cause you to have blood in the urine.  i have to go pee every hour day and night.  There are times I can go 3-4 hours in daytime only.  I have been put to sleep for the urologist to stretch the bladder. It helped alittle.  I'm due for it again in Feb.  But i have a stone in my bladder and others in my kidneys.
