Uretha issues

3 months ago, I had unprotected anal sex with my wife of 35 years; 2 days later I have a sensitive spot on my penis tip. It hurts when it rubs against my underware.
After 5 different creams from my GP and FNP Urologist I am still suffering. Dermatologist did a biopsy and the finding was minor irritation. He sent me back to the Urologist who took another urine sample and everything was neg. Also my prostrate was good.
I just got thru with a 7 day Cipro antibiotic. 500 mg 2x a day; did not help.
My penis burns especially as the day goes on or I eat something spicy etc. The sore spot on the tip has never went away;
What is going on? It has been 3 months of hell

I went to a Urologist on Dec. 27,2012. He examined my penis and said it is not Urethritis; He said everything looks good. He thinks The irritation and burning are possibly caused by a nerve and he recommended Pain Management and possibly a neurologist.

He also said that that I would be burning constantly if I had Urethritis.

This was the 2nd Urologist who has told me they feel it is "possibly" a issue from a nerve. I have never tested positive for anything including UTI, Urethritis, etc.

The "rawness/pain) at the tip of my penis is always there unless I protect it with a band aid. The burning sensation is usually much worse in the afternoon. I had back surgery in 2006 at the lower thoracic area (T11 and T12). It was a anterior corpectomy.

Any thoughts about this being a possible nerve problem?

Thanks

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi,
How are you? What other symptoms are present? Pain at the penile tip may be due to prostatitis, STIs, injury of the urinary tract, and even with Peyronie’s disease. Aside from infectious issues, prostatitis can also be precipitated by too frequent or too infrequent ejaculation, excessive spicy foods, alcohol, and caffeine, as well as prolonged sitting especially in an automobile. If the initial antibiotics did not help, it is best that you inform your doctor about this. Further diagnostic tests may need to be done. Your medical history and direct physical examination are important considerations. Take care and do keep us posted.
